This is a story of how the Four Seasons and Day and Night. It is because of the Mythical beast known as the Candle Dragon.
It was said to the north of the Chishui River beyond the distant Northwest Sea, there was a strange mountain named Zhangwei Mountain, in which lived a magical mountain god who wore a human face, yet with the body of a snake that stretched for 100's of Miles.The body of the mountain god was red like a fiery dragon. His eyes were also different from ordinary people, like two olives that hung on his face, which turned into two straight slits when he closed them.
The mountain god was so powerful that when he closed his eyes it turned to Night and when he opened them the sun rose. So when he slept the days and night occurred.
The mountain god never slept and he always curled up in the mountain without eating, drinking or breathing. When he yawned there would appear the fierce wind and torrential rain, when he blew, there would be winter in a second with the sky filled with black clouds and heavy snow storm when he sniffed, there would be midsummer in no time with scorching sun that could even melt the stones.
